Who can take part

 

The Pitch Battle is open to early-stage fintechs, from seed to Series A, whose solution is relevant to the Canadian financial ecosystem.

Eligibility criteria

Funding stage between seed and Series A.
Cumulative net revenue under CAD $500,000 since go-to-market.
Wherever your company is based (Québec, Canada or international), provided your product is relevant to Finance Montréal members.
Mandatory in-person attendance in Montréal on September 15, 2026 to present.

By submitting your application, you agree that the details of your file may be shared with the event's sponsoring partners.

The format

 
  • Finalists present in the afternoon before an on-site jury made up of industry executives and sponsoring partners.
  • Presentations last 6 minutes with visual support and must include a live demonstration of the product.
  • The jury deliberates during the afternoon.
  • The winner is revealed live during the Forum's closing remarks, at the end of the day.

Frequently asked questions

 
Does my fintech have to be based in Québec or Canada?
No. Applications are open internationally, provided your solution is relevant to the Canadian financial and insurance ecosystem and you can present in person on September 15.
Do startups in the Station FinTech programs get priority or an advantage?
No. Selection for the pitch competition is made on a case-by-case basis; each application is assessed fairly.
What is the exact amount of the grant?
The final amount will depend on the sponsoring partners confirmed by the event, but will be at least CAD $25,000.
What do the tickets given to finalists cover?
Full access to both days of the FinTech Forum (September 14 and 15, 2026).
Can I apply if my fintech has already gone past Series A?
The Pitch Battle specifically targets companies from seed stage up to Series A only.
