How to participate to the prediction contest

1. Dowload the event app : AO-EVENT, once dowloaded, click on "My app" and enter the code "fintech2019";
2. Access the election form during the participation period;
3. Answer the seven (7) questions  during the participation period and send your form;

IMPORTANT, IF YOU WIN, TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE, YOU MUST BE ON-SITE AT 11PM
4. When the winners are announced at 11PM, the winning participants will receive a confirmation email and will need to show up at the entrance of the BOX room within a few minutes for an identity check and validation of his / her contact information.


***If you do the right prediction, but you're not on site at 11PM to claim your prize, you are no longer eligible and cannot claim your prize after the event.

2019 Canadian Federal Election Results Prediction Contest

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. NIL WHERE THE LAW PROHIBITS.
The Election Prediction Contest of the 2019 Federal Election Results (the "Contest") begins on October 21, 2019 at 7:30 pm Eastern Time (ET) and ends on October 21, 2019 at 11:30 pm ET , (the "contest period"). The contest is organized by Finance Montéal (the "Organizer") as part of the "2019 Canada FinTech Canada Forum Startup Election Party Night”.

2. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to anyone who has reached the age of majority in their province, state or country of residence on October 21, 2019. The Contest is not open to businesses. Employees and directors of the organization entity, its advertising agencies, suppliers of materials or services related to this contest, and their families are not eligible.

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Internet access is required. Online participation through the form hosted on the AO-Event event application (defined below) only. No other method will be accepted. The Participant acknowledges that the Participation is not submitted in confidence or in trust and that no confidential or fiduciary relationship is contemplated or created. The organizer has no obligation of confidentiality with regard to the participants and is not obliged to keep the confidentiality of the information in the contest. All entry forms must be received by the end of the entry period. Entry forms become the property of the organizer and will not be returned. Failure to comply with the conditions of participation set out in these rules will invalidate the participation.

4. HOW TO WIN
Predictions for 2019 federal election results are structured by the following instructions, to select a maximum of twenty (20) winners. To enter, each entrant (the "Entrant") must:
1. Access the AO-Event app (the "Event App") during the Entry Period;
2. Access the response form during the participation period;
3. Answer seven (7) closed questions (the "Contest Questions") during the participation period;
4. Read the disclaimer and acknowledge having read this policy;
5. Once the contest questions have been completed, the participant validates his answer choices and submits his participation.
6. When the winners are announced, the winning entrant will receive a confirmation email and will need to show up at the entrance to the BOX room for an identity check and validation of his / her contact information. During the participation period, only one entry will be accepted per participant, defined by their IP address and email address. In the case of multiple entries, only the first entry will be taken into account.

5. PRIZES
There are twenty (20) prizes of $ 500 CAD to win, totaling $ 10,000. The winners are the twenty (20) participants who gave the closest-to-reality answers to the questions. The results of the 2019 federal election selected to select the winners of the contest are as announced by Radio Canada on October 21, 2019, at 11:00 pm ET. Winners are notified of their designation at the end of the contest by email at the address indicated on the entry form. Prizes will be sent by bank transfer after the closing of the contest to the bank details provided by the winners to the organizer. If one of the winners does not appear after sending the email, the email will be considered as having waived its price and the prize will remain the property of the organizer. The prize cannot be passed on to third parties. Failure by one of the winners to respect these rules will invalidate their participation and the organizer will not be able to award them the prize.

6. PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering the Contest, Entrants consent to the use of their personal information by the Promoter and its Authorized Agents for the purpose of administering the Contest and the Prize. By accepting to be declared winners, entrants consent to the use by the organizers of their names, address (city), photo, voice, appearance, participation, video and statements during the "Electoral Party of Start-ups" and in any advertising carried out by or on behalf of the organizer in any media, including the Internet, without further notice or remuneration.

7. RIGHT TO CANCEL, END, SUSPEND AND MODIFY
The organizer reserves the right to terminate the contest or to suspend or modify it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or obligation on his part, if, in the opinion of the organizer, any factor compromises the smooth operation as provided for in the Official Rules..

8. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By participating in this Contest, each entrant declares, acknowledges and warrants that he / she fully complies with the Official Rules. Winning a prize is subject to compliance with all the requirements set forth herein. Winners will be fully responsible for the tax implications, if any, resulting from their acceptance of the prize. All entries are subject to verification, including, but not limited to, participant eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. The contest is subject to the laws of Quebec.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND DISCHARGES
PARTICIPANTS AGREE THAT THE ORGANIZER, AND EACH OF THE DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS, (COLLECTIVELY, THE "RELEASED PARTIES") SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER ARISING FROM (a) PARTICIPATION OR REGISTRATION TO THIS CONTEST, INCLUDING DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION, ACCESS AND USE OF THE CONTEST WEBSITE, B) INTEGRATED CLAIMS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS, PERSONALITY RIGHTS OR RIGHTS RELATING TO THE PROTECTION OF PRIVACY OR DEFAMATION, OR (C) ACCEPTANCE OF A PRIZE. Without limiting the foregoing, the Released Parties shall not be liable (a) for any incomplete or inaccurate information or any equipment or programming associated with or used in connection with the Sweepstakes, or for any technical or human error registration, b) the loss, interruption or unavailability of networks, servers, service providers, online systems, telephone networks or telephone lines, or any other connections, c) the theft, destruction, loss of registration forms or unauthorized access or a change to them, d) any problems with networks or lines telephone, computer or online computer systems, servers or suppliers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs, or malfunctions or of these, e) unintelligible transmissions or communication errors; (f) the organizer's failure to receive or transmit an email, including but not limited to, due to a traffic jam on the Internet or a website or a combination thereof or technical incompatibility; (g) damage to a user's computer equipment (software or hardware) resulting from participation in the contest; (h) printing, distribution, programming or production errors, and any other errors or failures of any kind, whether human, mechanical, electronic or otherwise; or (i) any technical, graphic, typographical or form errors or omissions contained herein.
