Animator, journalist, designer and documentary maker
Karima Brikh is an animator, journalist, designer and documentary filmmaker. She is currently a columnist for the media review at "Samedi et rien d’autre" and a contributor to "Pénélope" on ICI Radio-Canada Première. A graduate of UQAM in journalism and having attended Paris VIII University, she began her career at TQS. She then worked at TVA and LCN as a weekend anchor and reporter, as well as being the host and producer of the "Mise à Jour Montréal" public affairs show at MATV for 5 years. Active on both television and radio, she has collaborated on several shows including La Voix, Gravel le matin, Cap sur l'été, Ma Première Place-des-Arts, Dessine-moi un dimanche, Médium Large, etc. In 2018, she presented her first documentary "Amour Cougar: au-delà du mythe", on Radio-Canada, as a director and scriptwriter. Recently, she directed the documentary radio series "Consentement", a series of six podcasts for the VOIR media, in collaboration with the Théâtre Duceppe, which explores the notion of sexual consent in its intimate, legal and social dimensions.
